Time for another fresh start here. It’s been a while but there have been behind-the-scenes problems which have now been fixed. A whole new hosting package with a new host too. So this is more of a soft-launch as most changes are invisible, or at least should be.

Time for a new start!
Google in their “wisdom” have decided to remove FTP support for Blogger. That’s what I was using to upload posts to this blog originally. Now, I know that my posting here has been intermittent at best, but that doesn’t mean I wanted to become locked-out. I get to choose what happens and when. That’s the theory, anyway.
Except I’ve also discovered that migrating old post from Blogger to this new WordPress-powered version would probably make me much greyer than I am already – I gave up wrestling with SSL support and permalinks a while back. Better for my sanity, and perhaps better for the blog. I do, however, have the old posts archived, so I dare say I’ll resurrect some of the more worthy candidates. If you really want a look at what’s come before then you can find it here.
In the meantime I have lot more functionality to play with, as well as still fighting sluggish PHP.
And the whole thing might look like a dog’s breakfast until I can settle on a theme and set everything up.
