Multi-Coloured Chick Shop

I find this kind of story disturbing enough with its misleading of impressionable young minds. However, what really boggles me in this story is the line:

The dye, which the farm insists does not contain chemicals, is injected into
ordinary chicken eggs a few weeks before Easter.

Does not contain chemicals - you may as well say it doesn't contain matter! I can't decide if this is sloppy journalism or stupidity on the part of the farm.
