Pulling Your Records

The whole RFID plot doesn't only thicken, but turns bizarre. This from The Register:

Belgian scientists at the Catholic University of Leuven have embedded an RFID chip into a tooth to show how detailed personal information can be stored.

Apparently the chip is a good idea as it can keep your personal records nice and accessible like they do now for your dog. Then in the event you're killed in a natural disaster or something, as the teeth are the most enduring part of the body, you can be easily identified.

Again, if you extrapolate this kind of thing you end up with a world where instead of an Oyster Card to get you on the Tube, you just have your tooth-tag scanned by a magic gate. I'd also guess that some people who already find Uncle Ken to be as palatable as having teeth pulled not to be at all surprised if he requires everyone to get them drilled.
