It's finished...
Well that only took another couple of days and the coding was far less painful than I was expecting.
I've completely finished the fully chiming Flash and screensaver versions of my Great Clock project. Just like the real thing it chimes on the quarter-hours and of course on the hour. Also like its daddy version the full-hour quarterly chime starts a full 20 seconds before the top of the hour. The hour itself is marked by the first bong.
I've updated the Extras page with a new embedded version and all the new download details. If you just can't wait, though, you can find the Windows screensaver installation file here. So stick it on the PC at work, turn the sound up, password protect it and go for a long lunch.
Of course if you have any problems or the bongs come out the wrong count or something, stick a comment on here and I'll pick it up.

Genius!
The version on your Extras page is too big for your template, though - you've got ads appearing over the top of it.
Might just be my rubbish, 20th century monitor though.
Oh, and you should put a credit on it and a link back to this 'ere site. Especially since I'm going to alert all my friend.
The template problem, I think, is an old browser thing (it looks fine here) what are you using?
There's a discrete credit and addy at the bottom of the clock face which is difficult to see on the embedded version. On the screensaver when it's running it's much easier to see. Also if you check the settings for the screensaver in "display properties" there's a prominent link and copyright check. You can change the volume from there too.
Nearly midday - brace yourself :-)
